Is the Shiny Pound Getting Tarnished?

Let me start by saying that I am neither a pundit nor an expert on currencies! Looking at the Pound, it has enjoyed a period of growth against the US Dollar, and is about 11% stronger than not so many months ago. Granted the UK is the best performer of G7 nations this year, but the US Fed is easing its "Dollar depressing" bond purchases, and the US is making economic headway. Perhaps we will see some small base rate rises in the UK in early 2015, but I predict a slow fall of the pound back to the levels we saw earlier in 2014. (Don't hold me to it though).

As for the Euro, I can see no short-term reasons for it to strengthen against either the Pound or the Dollar!!
