I was interested to note today, that Aldi have seen a record rate of growth, this at a time when competitors such as Tesco and Morrisons are, to be frank, struggling. The key in all of this, is to absolutely know what your brand stands for, and then be true to it. Think about it, we all know that Aldi and Lidl are cheap, have a limited range and are low on service, Waitrose on the other hand have excellence in product and service at the top of their list, at a price. Those brands are doing well. Can anyone tell me what Tesco and Morrisons stand for, their product is not the cheapest, and their service is not the best.......no wonder they are struggling!
