I have to say, I am a little confused. Wherever I go, I am told "aren't things dreadful?", "when will we be out of this mess?". I admit that the country as a whole has a huge debt burden, but what about the following?
  • There is some growth in the economy, albeit small.
  • The UK employs more people than it has ever done.
  • Interest rates are at historic lows.
  • Inflation is not a major problem.

Where has everyone's confidence gone? Is it fear of what may lie around the corner? Is it because the press tell us we should be worried?
